Agradecer - Word of the day ?

In the word of the day it is written: Le agradecería que me llamara. - I would appreciate it if you would call me.

I am confused about the "Le" and the translation. Should'nt it be :

  • Me agradecería que me llamara = I would appreciate it if you would call me

or

  • Le agradecería que me llamara. = He would appreciate it if you would call me

Hi, Planf,

The "le" is correct. It is an indirect object. What the structure means is "I would be grateful to (someone else)...

In English we translate it as "I would appreciate it...", but in Spanish "I would be grateful to you(formal).

I hope this has helped.
