Deciphering a corrido
I am working to decipher a recording of a Mexican corrido. Opening lines seem to be:
Caer en (or cayeron) el 2 mil y uno
Cayó la "L L y Nay"
Does anyone recognize "el el y nay" as a word, fragment, or slang?
Thanks.

If you do a websearch on the name of the corrido, you will most likely get the words, unless this is a local corrido. Type in "letra de...(name of corrido). There are many Mexican sites that specialize in lyrics of corridos.
I am wondering if "Nay" refers to the state of "Nayait" in Mexico. There are numerous narcocorridos out there (as you probably know) that celebrate the narco culture. In some of these corridos "Nay" is used for 'Nayarit". If the words are not available online, I would suspect that you have a narcocorrido that is local to the state of Nayarit.
If you find out something, please post your results; I am very curious as to what you find.
Gracias!
Thanks! What's the easiest way to send you an audio clip?

I might be able to help you if you can send me the recording, or this part of it.
