Does this say "I'm an expert", sounds like "I'm the great expert" which is wierd to my ears. Is this a normal phrase? It's from Scooby Doo the Tvshow.

**Yes, it does mean/ translate as: I am the great expert

=Soy el gran experto ...on the face of it sounds a rather arrogant/pompous things to say.

I cannot comment on how common/normal such a phrase is but if it comes from a Children's programme - which I admit I enjoy watching occasionally - it may well have been spoken tongue in cheek tongue wink and perhaps shouldn't be taken too seriously**
