Hi Nutrigirl. Welcome to the forum.

The dictionary says that "picudo" = Que tiene pico, which in English means "that which has a beak or a mouth."

Does that make sense in your context?

Since this had to do with fishing I did some checking.

"Picudo" is a type of fish ("Bicuda" in English) also called a "Pencil Fish" or "Pez lápiz".
