How do you say "This is a restricted area"

I read a sign on a building wall that said "This is a Restricted area" and it was translated into Spanish as "Esta es un area Registrada" and I think that's incorrect. I think it's probably correct to say "Esta es un area Prohibida o Limitada", But is it correct to say "Esta es un area Restricta"? Which would be the most correct? Please help!

Hi Landerosjoe. You can say "Esta es un área restringida"

Another option would be - Esta es una zona prohibida .

oh and by the way - you're quite right 'registrada' doesn't mean restricted - it means 'registered' - Kiwi-Girl, Jun 20, 2010
