Que es la diferencia entre estos.

Que es la diferencia entre estos.

Estoy confundido con la diferencia entre a usar los gerundios o la sencilla indicativa tensa . Como - Estoy lo haciendo - I am doing it Lo hago - I am doing it.

El esta la golpenado - He is hitting her. él la golpea - He is hitting her.

Yo sé que no estoy debiendo traducir espanol a ingles directamente para lo comprender. Pero si alguien me puede ayudar con esta , estaré muy agradado.

Estoy lo haciendo - I am doing it (As Quentin and Benz said, the object pronoun would never be placed between 2 verbs. Therefore it should be: Lo estoy haciendo or estoy haciéndolo.)

This is the Present Progressive (Continuous) tense and is used when you want to say, I am doing it (at this very moment I am doing it).

Lo hago - I am doing it.

This is the simple Present tense and is used when you want to say: I am doing it (in general and not necessarily at this moment.)

I hope that this helps and answers your question.

You could be doing it at the moment with the present tense. It just doesn't have to mean that you are doing it at the moment) - 0074b507, Jun 18, 2010
Hi pajaro!! "Estoy lo haciendo" is incorrect.... It's "Estoy haciéndolo" or "Lo estoy haciendo" - Benz, Jun 18, 2010
Gracias, Quentin and Benz! You are both faster than I am! - Pajaro44, Jun 18, 2010
Pajaro well done I gave you a point but you need to add the accent to haciendole in your second sentence as Benz mentioned - FELIZ77, Jun 18, 2010
Gracias, Feliz77, I added the accent! - Pajaro44, Jun 18, 2010

When you get all of your replies, write a reference article on the progressive or continuous tenses. I can't find any Reference articles covering it.

progressive tense

El esta la golpenado [Él está golpeándola.] [Él la está golpeando]

Estoy lo haciendo

The object pronoun never goes between the two verbs.

He is hitting her - Present continuous - Something happening at the moment of speaking - In Spanish: Él la está golpeando

.

He hits her - Present simple - Something that usually happens, for rutines or habitual actions. In Spanish: Él la golpea

.

Hope it helps!
