Ventana vs Ventanal

I want to be able to describe my house in spanish. The one thing that I have is lots of window. I understand that "ventanal" refers to a large window or a picture window. I don't know how large the window has to be to call it "un ventanal" instead of "una ventana." I could say ventana grande, but again what makes the window big? Also, what makes a window a picture window? Let me give you a visual. I have a front window 6' x 6' from which I can view the other houses, people, trees and the road. I have another window 5' by 6', by our tub that can't be opened and only gives me a view of my fence. Would either of these be considered a picture window? I appreciate any help you can give me! My thanks in advance.

Heidita, like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for taking the time to answer me. - Nilda-Ballardo, Jun 16, 2010
