What is the proper Spanish translation for the species of bird know as the "golden eagle"?

There are two primary species of eagle in North America. One is the Bald Eagle and the other is the Golden Eagle. What is the proper Spanish translation for the second species mentioned? Thanks very much!

I have checked several online sources, and they all say "águila real", so I believe this would have to be the correct translation.
