Parar and Sentarse
When do you use parando and sentando in spanish? I know you use sentado and parado., but when do you use it and why is it replaced with those and which other verbs are like this?

As mentioned the present participle is used in constructing the progressive tenses and adverbial phrases, while the past participle is used in forming the perfect tenses and as an adjective.
They are equivelent to words ending in ing in english and in spanish they are usually used with the verb estar i.e. me estoy sentando, estoy parando etc. All ar verbs are like this wheras ir and er verbs finish as iendo instead of ando.
