One move for just one dream - inspired by a song

Question

Well, a year ago I had no idea about Spanish and I didn't know that I would learn it. I knew few artists from Spain and other Spanish speaking countries. This song, with such simple lyrics, shows pretty well what has happened in my life - I can understand it, I know most people that appear in it (Juan Luis Guerra, Rosario Flores, Javier Cámara, Javier Bardem, Juanes) and all the small movements it tells about have contributed and contribute to the success of my learning. And you, my dear SpanishDict friends, have done a great deal so that I can learn more and more.

.

Moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

We see moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

.

.

Moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

We see moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

.

Escucha la llamada de "Mama Tierra",

cuna de la creación

Su palabra es nuestra palabra,

su "quejío" nuestra voz

Si en lo pequeño está la fuerza,

si hacia lo simple anda la destreza

Volver al origen no es retroceder,

quizás sea andar hacia el saber

.

Moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

We see moving, all the people moving,

one move for just one dream

Hellos Issabela, I also am amazed that you have studied for a short year. You must know many languages and also you must have a great facility for learning languages. Some people are naturally blessed that way and I believe you must be one of them. A year studying for most people is not very much. I am very moved by this song as well, I had never heard it before - the lyrics are wonderful - thank you so very much for sharing.

Actually, I only speak Polish, English - and yes, now I can say that I speak Spanish as well :)) - Issabela, Jun 15, 2010

Hi Issa,

I have heard this song before and it is a good choice to describe your story. It is so hard to believe that you only started a year ago. You have been such an inspiration to all of us.

I hope we all continue to learn and grow together.....and that we all keep "moving" towards our goal of being fluent in Spanish!

Abrazos mi amiga

Gracias!
