This is a name of a villa that we looked at in Mercia. Spanish estate agent thought it meant icicle or maybe surprise/wow/startle-- maybe abbreviated? Can you give me the nearest translation please

This is what the dictionary gives:

caramba
= dammit

Caramba interjection also: ¡caramba! -> good heavens!(sorpresa), blimey! (British), jeez!; (United States) for heaven's sake! (enfado)

Right. It is a mild, sociably acceptable and common euphemism for a stronger swear word. It is used as Swing has indicated. - Gekkosan, Jun 14, 2010
