What is the spanish word for the color called rust in Engishe?

Depending on how your trying to use it. There is no easy way to say it. You just have to describe the color it is (like you described it to us in English) and not compare it to anything if you want to keep it short and to the point. Now if its part of a poem you need to describe what the color looks like. Something nice. but i think rojizo descibes it best as a short and to the point color. You can't be exact unless you describe it exactly.

I'm looking for a descriptive adjective for the deep orangish brown color usually called rust in English. It's not as orange as orange or as brown as brown...kind of a mix of red, brown and orange. I hope that is clearer.

I use to say literally "color óxido". But I agree with Juan that "óxido" can be a wide range of colours; you should be more specific.

it all depends on how your trying to use it. Rust can have a ton of colors. i think you have to be more specific on what is rusted to get the color info.
