Who are they?
Some time ago, a asked a question similar to this: "who goes to the cinema with you?". The answers said that "who go to the cinema with you?" was not possible. I mean, it should be "who + 3ª person".
Then, I was wondering what it would happen with this: who is he? and who are they?
Is it possible to say "who are they?".
1 Answer
Yes, that's good.
Maria says, "There are some people in the lobby and they want to talk to you."
Juan asked, "Who are they?"
Maria says, "There's a man standing over there by the tree."
Juan asks, "Who is he?"
Maria says "Who goes to the movies with you on Wednesdays?"
Juan says, "My friends."
Maria then asks, "Who are they (What are their names)?"
