Just to mention it, since your sentence seems pretty obvious, but context should usually be included when asking how to translate a word. Skirt can have many other contexts besides clothing.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. It's probably just the Spanish word for skirt, falda. I looked around for regionalisms and only found pollera, which is used in El Cono Sur, according to the dictionary.
