Good spanish movies

Question

hey guys we watched a couple movies in my spanish class and i was wondering if you know any good spanish movies. maybe even english dubbed spanish movies.

Answer 1

Anything directed by Pedro Almodovar. A classic Almodovar is Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios. Carmen Maura is the star, she's just brilliant, a gem of an actress. An interesting thing about the movie is that unlike most Hollywood schlock the women are the stars. One of my favourite films although anything with Carmen Maura is good.

Another good one is Jamon Jamon by Bigas Luna y, hablando de jamon, hay que ver ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?) otro de Almodovar.

Answer 2

You might have heard of El Laborinto Del Fauno, really good dark fantasy. It won some Oscars. I saw El Secreto de Sus Ojos too the other day, it's from Argentina. Another Oscar winner.
