I have a nickname/screenname "foltor" (it's the name of a character from Irish myth). I want to make sure it doesn't translate as or sound similar to anything weird or vulgar in castellano.

Lol, I did that search on Yahoo!Argentina and Google Argentina. They're mostly my own screennames.

Hey mark. It's rare to see people who are considerate enough to think about how something might sound to other people. That's quite respectable. Anyways, I'm not a native speaker, but I did teach high school in Guatemala for about a year, and I've heard quite a bit of slang. I've never heard of anything like "foltor." In addition, SpanishDict has not entry for it. Also, google only turns up screennames (for the most part) when I typed in "foltor spanish". So, preliminarily, I'd say you'd be fine using your same "foltor".
