I think that you need to provide an entire sentence to provide context.
escanear=computer scanning
recibo=receipt (proof of purchase)
escaneando recibos is a possibility, given no context.
Are you scanning similar to reading a bar code?
Do you mean perusing receipts looking for some particular data?
