For example, I want to say "I have worked hard to get where I am now." Would it be "He trabajado con ahinco estar donde estoy ahora"? Is there supposed to be a 'para' in there?

Welcome to the forum. =)

I don't think you need 'para', but lets wait and see if anyone thinks otherwise
