Why do human beings do more evil things than good?
I think that genes coming from wild animals are responsible for, you know that instinct to attack and to kill in order to eat and survive. What do you think about it?

Cow, you certainly stepped over the line, do not do that again!
If you do that, you'll soon realize human beings do more good than evil in general.
Utter nonsense. Humans are the only species that has ever been responsible for the the entire extermination of some other species of life-form.We have consistently (and continue to) treat the world's resources as though they were inexhaustible (despite evidence to the contrary). Our overall attitude has been exactly that of Henri XVI (who, famously said) "Aprés moi, la deluge". In other words, "Screw the consequences!."
The abundance provided by our planet has left room for this wanton destruction but, it too, has its limits. The entire history of our race is one of "spend today/now, tomorrow will take care of itself." (essentially the philosophy of children who assume that their parents will always provide, with no understanding of the difficulties that their parents may face). They have provided in the past, therefor, they will continue to do so. We haven't run out of oil/coal yet, therefore, we will never do so.
I believe that predictions based on the Bible or on Mayan writings about the end of the world (in 2012 or any other year) are total nonsense. However, I also believe that the human race is quite capable of destroying its own environment (rendering it uninhabitable for humans). Furthermore, it seems to me that we are hell-bent on doing so.
A comfortable fallacy Julian - did you never see that sequence of a tiger killing 18 bulls in the space of about six minutes. Survival??!!!
I'm curious about this Geo - I never heard about/saw it. Seems very unusual, what I always heard about big cats is that they expend energy on hunting when they need to, hunting being normally a high-energy activity! How on earth did a tiger manage to hunt and kill so many bulls? Were the bulls sick? If this were the case, one could say a tiger will kill anything edible that doesn't put up a fight - I would say, not through evilness but because the tiger isn't capable of counting and thinking to itself 'Oh, I have enough to eat now so I'll stop hunting.'
I'm guessing that it was some kind of experiment, in which case, in my humble opinion, one couldn't expect the natural survival instinct to function normally?
Also, there is always the possiblilty that that particular tiger had had a head injury or some other condition which made it act abnormally.
Please elaborate!
By the way, I hope this thread hasn't opened another can of worms.....
Why did a border patrol agent choose doing evil by shooting and killing a guy? Read in Spanish
It's just that bad deeds are what get the most attention in the news since they are the most sickening events. And people like to be spectators to 'bad' incidents.
I agree. Evil things are just more visible.
i belive that there is no or very little good in the human species as a whole. We destroy, corupt, and destroy some more. We have the capability to destroy our planet, and we are. Why god has not annihilated us foul beasts of his beautiful earth i dont know. I am sorry to be a human and would rather be something humble in gods light than to be a wretch like i am know. I hope that the world ends for only humans in 2012. A long shot but i still hope. But the most scary thing is, that i am 12 years old and i think this. Does that not mean something. Boo to the human species. Oh and one more thing, you may think we are solving problems in the environment, but we are the reason we have these problems. (wishes she was a wolf) sigh
If you drift to far away from human and christ compassion of the founding fathers any steroid ape could minipulate you to be bad. I often worry about the un taught, and martyrs.
