To be on fire is "estar ardiendo". I would translate your phrase as "se sentía que estaba ardiendo", or mabe "Se sentía como si estuviera ardiendo". Not too sure on this one. However what I do know is that as well as feeling hot this also has a sexual meaning concerning passion, so be careful.

You are going to need to give a little bit more context for people.
Is it literal (I think it is safe to say that it is not based on the last part), appearances, something cool that you did.... there are a lot of uses for "I'm hot" and "I was on fire" in the English language. In order to get an accurate translation, you need to specify.
