I would like to tell someone in Spanish that when I went to the horse show competition, I fell off my horse.

You don't need any more answers but let me say that if I fell off a horse in a competition I don't think I'd want to tell all my friends. lol

I think caerse is a literal fall and caer is a figurative one, so Me caí de mi caballo should work I think. Gracias.
