Translation as a category
Hello there! I am into translation and I always miss it here. What I mean is that whenever I log in there is no question about translation in the tab ANSWERS. Only afterwards it turns out that there are plenty but posted earlier. I think that it would be much easier for people like me to find texts to translate on this website if there was a separate category referring to translations. What do you think...?

The main issue here is that the primary creators of the translation threads are away right now for various reasons. And doesn't that make you realize how much we miss them when they are gone? 
I think this is a good reminder to send them a note of thanks for the translation threads they give us.
I agree - it seems that some users don't read the instructions and don't pay attention to the alphabetic order; similarly, in many "word/picture of the day" threads some users post sentences either only in Spanish or English and don't correct their posts.
And even the A-Z threads are starting to go on without translation or any order to them.
I also miss Carlos' threads on transcription and sentences of the day. I loved these tables, they really helped with conjugation. And you're right, sometimes it's hard to find something else than word/picture of the day, or A-Zs...
Bomber, I was going to simply tell you to look under "Games and Challenges", which is where I always used to find them.
But first, I thought I would have a quick look there myself, as it's some time since I did any of the translation exercises, and I have to admit, I had an awful job to find one. The category seemed to be full of "A-Z whatevers" instead :(
Perhaps it's just that no-one has posted many translation exercises recently? It's a shame, but they are a lot of work for whoever does them.
I don't think we should have a separate category just for translations because we have enough categories now to cover almost all situations. People have enough trouble now remembering in which category to place their posts.
It's really simple enough to find the translation threads:
1) Go to the Reference section and choose "Learning Resources." There is a whole list of translation exercises there.
2) Go to Heidita's profile and see what questions she has posted recently. All of the exercises are there, including the newest ones.
Thanks Sheila for your answer. I couldn't agree more with you about the fact that this kind of exercise is quite time-consuming, checking, correcting and all that, which is a good reason for these threads to be in a separate category. This way it would be easier to find even the ones posted much earlier, which in turn would enable me to have a go even at the "out-of-date" translations, already checked and marked by the person who does them.
