I have seen two past participles used for imprimir: impreso and imprimido Is one correct or are both acceptable?

This says that both are correct but that "impreso" is more common these days. That is to say, one can say, "He imprimido el documento" as well as, "He impreso el documento."

I have just looked in my 501 Spanish verbs by Christopher Kendris (Formerly an assistant professor in dept of French and Spanish State University of New York)

Imprimir = to imprint, to impress,to print, to fix in the mind

Gerundio: Imprimiendo past participle: impreso

impreso =stamped/printed

ipuebla, welcome to the forum!! I am not 100% but imprimido is the participle form of imprimir and that is the accepted form. I don't believe "impreso" is a part of imprimir but does mean "printed". Hope this helps!! smile
