Does the term 'educación integral' mean 'comprehesive education'?

I want to translate the term 'educación integral' into English, but am struggling to do so. 'Comprehensive education' seems to be best, but it does not really capture the spirit of the intended 'formación integral' of students, covering their acquisition of knowledge, its application to real-life situations and problems, as well as their social and civic preparation...
