Sangre, sudor y lágrimas.

Blood, sweat, and tears.

This saying has been around for quite some time. This is a sentence that revolves around the saying.

Please proof it or put your own sentence.

Mine:

Se tomó muestras de sangre, sudor y lágrimas hacer esto, pero tengo el trabajo hecho. = It took samples of blood, sweat, and tears to do this, but I have the job done.

Unless you are describing a visit to the hospital I would take the word "muestras /samples" out of your sentence.

The phrase "sangre, sudor y lágrimas" implies that in order to achieve something you incurred a great cost. It is totally unnecessary to specify the amount of tears or the quantity of blood implied.

Cuando se sude tinta produce lágrimas a causa del dolor - When one sweats blood it produces tears because of the pain.
