How would I say "Stay in school." as an usted command?

Well I don't think you would say it all and have the same meaning, but I could be wrong. Stay in the school sure, "Quédase en la escuela" but to get the true meaning of "Stay in school"??? I would use "No abandone los estudios". Something to that affect.

I agree up to a point your comment would have validity for an older child who might have thought of giving up studying at school Jeezle but I was thinking of a younger child say between 10 and 14 who was told to stay at school and not to play truant - FELIZ77, Jun 2, 2010

We say

Usted se queda en el colegio/escuela but sometime we don't use the usted (almost never) we say: "se queda en EL colegio/ LA escuela"

  • you forgot the "articulo"

I think it would be = ¡ Quédese en escuela* ! (o colegio*)
