Can "Podría haberlo pensado" be said as "Podría haber pensadolo" ? Or do they have a different meaning? Or is the latter just plain wrong?

Thx!

It is my understanding that direct object pronouns, such as "lo", cannot be attached to past participles, such as "pensado".

Therefore, your "Podría haber pensadolo" would be incorrect.

However, direct object pronouns, such as lo/la/los/las can be attached to present participles such as "pensando"!

Could you please give us the English translation of what you are trying to say in Spanish?

Well it's originally in spanish and correct (Podría haberlo pensado) but I was wondering if one could say 'Podría haber pensadolo'. But apparently not. Thanks for clearing that out! - Petirrojo, Jun 2, 2010
