For starters this site.

In the upper right corner click on "En español" and the "Learn Spanish" tab will change to "Aprender inglés"

Thank you all for the great suggestions! I appreciate the links to other resources and the comment on Ros Stone. When I researched for a softwear for myself i decided to go with Fluenz. I am now finishing their last CD (5). I have been very happy with it. I believe they do a great job of encorporating a lot of learning techniques and it has been varied enough so as to not get redundant. There are a few typos, and error, but i guess no one's perfect. It doesnt appear that they have a series on English. Our meetings end today and this young man leaves for Mex tomorrow. But, now i have some resources I can send him home with (including this website which i already told him about).

gracias para la ayuda todos!

I have Rosetta Stone Latin American Spanish; I like some features and dislike others. I would not recommend it to anyone that does not have several hundred dollars to blow.

The software consists of photos, Spanish words and audio, and voice recognition. It does not compare the Spanish to English.

The voice recognition works good when the microphone is freshly calibrated.

Example of the biggest problem: Photo = A boy sitting outside on some steps with a book. Spanish = El niño lee.

Looks to me like a boy reading so “El niño lee” must be what it means “A boy reading”. Wrong! “The boy reads”. This was very frustrating at first when I thought I was learning Spanish but was only memorizing phrases to use incorrectly. Also, what about the people that perceive “El niño lee” as “A boy sitting”.

Rosetta Stone requires a supplement to recognize what you are being presented. It is good for hearing the words, pronunciation, and a general to vague idea of the meaning.

Helloworld.com Learning English to speak English.

New Free English Verb Trainer download.

Also, check Cnet downloads for free educational software.

Does Rosetta Stone have English? I've heard it's the best.

Apparently Rosetta Stone sucks big time. Do a search on Youtube. - sfrenchie, Jun 2, 2010

Rosetta Stone does have english and it would be very good but it is expensive and I would recommend supplementing it with SpanishDict.

There are lots of free online resources. With a little googling you'll find a bunch! I work with an English learner who plays English word games online (matching with vocab, hangman, crosswords, etc) and her abilities have really improved!
