How do we know if an answer to a question we have asked is correct?
Are all of the answers to questions asked monitored by an administrator?
If so, how does this work?
If not, how can we trust the answers we are given?

Of course, many wrong answers are submitted to the forum. However, I think between the constant vigilance of the administrators, along with the observant eyes of everyone in the forum, that you can rest assured that you are receiving a correct answer.
If, for some reason, you feel unsure about an answer, double check with someone here who is fluent.
There are very few places where all information is one hundred percent accurate. Newspapers, magazines, textbooks...pretty much everything in print will have inaccuracies. I have even found many mistakes in printed sheet music.
I think we all have to be responsible to check and double check facts from different sources when we are asking an important question. 
The administrators are excellent but even they will admit that they cannot check every post every time an answer is posted to it. I would recommend checking the profile of the person answering you as well as their reputation. In the profile, if it is filled out completely, you can get a general idea of what level of fluency the answerer has. Fortunately, members do tend to keep an eye on things and incorrect answers are usually caught and commented on or directed to the attention of an administrator ecspecially if the answer has been accepted.
I agree that you should wait and not accept the first answer for a day or so. Unless the answer is from Gekkosan. Then it is correct.
Be sure to watch your question for a while. Don't accept the first answer. Most members will review answers and try to point out inaccuracies or regional variations.
