Medical jargon uses "unipara" for a mother with only one birth. Please don't ask me if a first-time mother of twins is a "unipara", I don't know.

Actually, this is not quite right, Geof. Unipara is a woman who has had one birth already. A first-time mother is "nulipara" - she has not had any previous births. I think a nulipara who has twins technically becomes a unipara - one birth experience. - Gekkosan, Jun 1, 2010
