La Galería de la casa.

La Galería de la casa.

The ad for a house rental includes what looks like a covered patio that goes along the backside of the house. One was decorated with plants and a few chairs. Another had many chairs, a barbeque grill, etc. Still, I'm trying to find the best way to define, in English, what the "galería" is (covered patio, covered walkway, etc.)?? Anyone have a good definition?

How about deck or porch? Veranda?

Yes, I thought of these too, porch = porche, veranda = veranda, and the ad for the house included a description of a deck that was not part of the galeria. That's not to say that these couldn't be included. Thank you. - Nilda-Ballardo, MAY 31, 2010
