Hi all

Please can you help me with this translation

despistado y un poco despreocupado

Is it... confused and a bit careless

or clueless and carefree??

This is the whole text: perdon peke... no texto antes... yo acabo ahora trabajo... como siempre.... despistado y un poco despreocupado... ayer me hiciste sentir como un "Dios"... gracias a ti cariño... hasta pronto y buenas noches mi angel.

Thank you smile

I looks like "clueless and a little carefree."

You could also say:

absent-minded and a little carefree

But I can't help but think there must be a better way to say this in English. In apologizing for not communicating with his friend sooner, he is saying that he is unfocused and not thinking about what's best for the relationship. At least that's how I understand it.

Another meaning of despreocupado is "unconcerned". I know it doesn´t apply in this case but it reminded me of the teacher who asked a pupil "what does apathy mean". The pupil replied "I don´t know and I don´t care".
