Power vacuum

I am trying to translate the phrase "power vacuum," as happens when for example a dictator suddenly dies and there is no person to take his place. I am guessing a literal translation of "vacío de poder," but I thought perhaps it might be idiomatic. Does anyone know for sure?

"Vacío de poder" is the correct expression.
