As ready as I'll ever be
Star trek subs says "Tan preparado como jamás lo estaré". I don't really get the "lo". As prepared (ready) as I'll never (ever) be (it). Can anyone think of any other ways to say this?

The "lo" is a referent to the "tan preparado" part of the sentence which is regularly used (not only in startrek) for reasons which are not clear to me. My reaction would be to leave it out and then, on a first edit pass, think "aha! that's where a REAL hispanohablante would include a lo". This assumes I was 1) awake 2) in edit mode 3) writing this sort of thing in the first place.
If I had to say this, I would go with:
"Tan lista como posible." - As ready as possible.
Or:
"Tan lista como puedo estar." - As ready as I can be (my grammar may be off here, but that is how I would say it, until someone corrects me).
