Qué será = the future tense is uncertain

Qué será = the future tense is uncertain

Un regalo, qué será. I ask repeat questions I know, they further help me to regain/retain. The future tense is uncertain. In English this would be..... A present? What could it be? What will it be makes no sense to the English language. In Spanish the future is a probability and not a certainty like in English, as I gather, and so it becomes what could it be. Is this right? The future implies both future certain and the probability/possibility. If the future (certain.. ie it Will be this way) tense doesn't line up right then you switch to probability mode like in this case. (ie it Could be this way/ It is Probably this way).......having said.......... What could it be? RIght guys? Thank you.

This article seems to confirm your suspicion as well.

Hola Jeezle, you are right. spanish is so romantic...future tense implies probability and maybe a dream or hope of something.

Your questions are very interesting...

Hasta luego (see you later)
