I just wanted to know if you conjugated the verb in a sentence after the word "para"?

ejemplo:

Tenemos que practicar más para ___ al profesor. (verb: impresionar)

As long as the subject of the first verb and the verb following 'para' are the same, do not conjugate after 'para' but use the infinitive.

If, for example, you wished to say "We had to do it so that they could leave" the subjects are different.

In this case use "que" followed by the subjunctive" - "Tuvimos que hacerlo para que ellos pudieran salir".

As per nachox's example, the answer is "no, use the infinitive".
