Can anyone suggest some common ways of saying, for example, the following in Spanish?: "I'd like to move up the ladder in my company"

Ascender en la empresa.

or perhaps

Ascender la escalera del éxito. (as in 'climb the ladder of success)

I couldn't find it in the phrasebook and would be glad to submit it, but I don't have enough rep points to do so. Could someone else please submit it? - tamalmalamarrado, May 26, 2010

The commonly used phrase is "move up the corporate ladder".

I can't find a Spanish equivalent. This might be a entry for stumping the moderators of our Phrasebook. Why not "run it up the flagpole" (submit the English half) and see if anyone salutes it? (translates it)

Maybe the concept translates as "nepotismo" in Spanish? grin
