We have a dictionary here. (Thus the name of the website.) Why not type "love" in the box above and see what it says?

The verb to love is / = amar. The word Love = amor

amo = I love (please see verbs under grammer section for a guide on how to conjugate the different verb forms )

Having said this, I need to explain that the Spanish use 3 different verbs to express various degrees of affection towards people

gustar = to like... por ejemplo: te gusta = I like you

(used to express a basic liking for someone as a friend/someone you know a little )

querer = to like (to express a strong liking for someone you know well)

por ejemplo: te quiero = I like you (very much)

Te amo = I Love You
