what is the different between 'depend on we 'and 'depend on us'

Hi every body how are you I hope you are fine can any body tell me what is the different between saying depend on us ** and **depend on we

because in Akon ft Keri Hilson oh Africa different at the 30 second he says **I know that we have to take it to the gold cause every body is depending on WE****

I think someone was just discussing in an earlier thread how you never use the nominative case after a preposition. It should be on "us" (objective case) grammatically, but I suspect something else is going on here..
