What are some fun things to do in Panama?

In class, we're doing a project, and I selected Panama. Of course, being the little naive person I am, I don't know anything about Panama. 
Could someone who's been there or something tell me about Panama? I need a "testimony" type thing, and first-hand reprts are always better than the stuff you find online, right?

Seeing the Panama Canal and taking the train across the isthmus between Panama City and Colón are two things I enjoyed when I visited.
