I would go with "los años treinta."

I suspect that, as this is for a class presentation, your teacher has already told you but you simply didn't take it in.

It was an assignment where we chose a related topic, so she didn't really give specifics. It's mostly in English anyhow, I just have to use 5 sentences of spanish as part of the requirements, and I figure that the introduction would be good for that. - ww2nerd, May 22, 2010
The curriculum is pretty vague, we learn how to say the basic date, but at this point (I'm in grade 11 spanish) we haven't covered how to say it in the past - ww2nerd, May 22, 2010
