Hi and welcome to the forum,
This question is asked very frequently. You may want to do a search for some of the many answers which have been supplied over the years.
When you say "Spanish 1-4", I don't know if you are referring to high school classes, the videos on this site or something else.
Unfortunately, there is no quick and easy way to learn a foreign language. Otherwise, we wouldn't all be here trying to learn and help each other.
Since you feel that you still do not understand the language well, even after studying it for awhile, it might be time to revamp your study and/or learning habits. Try making a list of the areas where you struggle the most and focus on those areas first.
There are many tools available on this site which will help you to understand Spanish. This forum is also an excellent place for you to come with any questions or aspects of the Spanish language for which you need help with.

Ctaylor there are a number of options you can consider following either separately or in combination these include;
Going to live in Spain/South America and taking Spanish classes in the country in which you choose to live
Taking Spanish classes with a native speaker of Spanish - in small group lessons or privately if you can afford it, This may be better for you if you want to learn at your own pace - either faster or slower, as you can ask the teacher to tailor the classes to suit your own requirements.
Continuing to learn Spanish on this website SPANISHDICT.com and making full use of all the facilities available
Entering the Chatroom here, making friends and learning from those native speakers of Spanish and those more experienced than yourself
These are only a few suggestions which will hopefully give you a starting point.
I have nearly completed all of these lessons and have previously received many lessons from Native Spanish teachers from Spain and South America and I am still learning. I plan to revisit all these video lessons again after I have completed course 4 and write down all the vocabulary I do not know and all the examples of sentances that can help me understand Spanish sentance construction more accurately.
I hope this helps ![]()
Thanks for making a search next time.
It also good take things a little at a time every vocabulary word and grammar point learned put you on the road to being able to communicate a little more fully in Spanish. If you expecting native level fluency overnight you're going to be disappointed Trying to do everything at once will overwhelm you. Think about what you want to do with language and work on that first Right now I am working on being able to express opinions and feelings and buliding my vocabulary in these areas. Also if you are outside an area where the language is spoken it might be easier to work on your writing and reading and listening skills first.
Nicole is quite right, if there was an easy way, everyone would be doing it. The truth is the only way to become fluent in any language is to live, work or grow up surrounded by it. That's how everyone learns their first language.
The next best thing is probably listen to as much Spanish as you can on tv, cd's, radio and web. If you have run through all the lessons on this site, try going back to the start. I found that repeating them helped me immensely. Just keep going, and you'll get there.
Good luck, and if you ever find a quick way, let us all know!
