As my shoes were rubbing, I took them off and went on dancing barefoot.

Corregid mi español, por favor :)) - Issabela, May 22, 2010
Why did you use the definite article with "your" feet, but a possessive adjective with "your" shoes? I thought clothing/personal items all fell under the same category as body parts. - 0074b507, May 22, 2010
contra los pies, not necessary, and not correct, where would they rub you anyway? :P - 00494d19, May 22, 2010
Aren't blisters, bunions and corns all caused by improperly fitting shoes rubbing against your foot? - 0074b507, May 22, 2010
tenéis razón :)) - Issabela, May 22, 2010

I love walking barefoot on the beach; I like the feeling of sand between my toes smile.

Just a minor correction: Your comma in both sentences should be a semicolon (;) since they are separate, but related sentences. - slkey, May 23, 2010

Years ago I was with a group that walked barefoot over burning coals.

Barefoot salsa dancing seems great to me because high heels hurt my feet.

I love running barefoot on the beach and running into the waves. I have done this in April, when the water was very cold. It was not a good idea to go home with wet clothes.

I wouldn't dare go barefoot in my garden. Why not? Too many spiders!

In the summer, I like to be barefoot in the house. However, in the winter, I have to wear socks because my feet are always cold.

(actually it's a combination of a spanish and an english saying which carry the same flavour - let's call it poetic licence lol)

Barefoot and pregnant.

My son teases me by telling me to "get back in the kitchen where you belong" - does that have a similar feeling? - galsally, May 22, 2010
yes, same thing sally, jeje, goodsentence mari - 00494d19, May 22, 2010
Well it is an established fact that women are only good for 3 things: cooking, cleaning and that other thing. Ask any guy. A biological truism. I am glad to see that you are raising your son with a proper attitude towards women. He should go to - 0074b507, May 22, 2010

I grew up in New Zealand. All of the children went barefoot until they were 10. At that age the school insisted we wore sandals and then once we were accustomed to them, shoes. We used to remove the sandals at the school gates before walking home.

So what about now? barefoot again or did they stifle the child inside you? - 0074b507, May 22, 2010
In Scotland it's too cold but when it's sunny I still go barefoot. The problem is, you make a "sole" on your foot which becomes as hard as leather, that takes time and needs continuous bare-footness... so yes, they killed the practice, stifled the child - lagartijaverde, May 22, 2010
