Hola,

No sé si estos términos se usen en España, pero yo las conozco como "botas pantaneras" o "machitas".

Hope you find what you are looking for.

I've always called them wellies, or wellingtons in English. The dictionary gives this translation: wellingtons, wellington boots -> botas (f pl) de agua or goma or (británico) caucho (español de México, español de Venezuela)

We call them " Gum boots " everyone has a pair of "Gummies" . wink

Flood volunteers have been urged to ensure they wear appropriate footwear, but if they didn’t already have gumboots they may be in strife.

Across the city, hardware stores have sold out of gumboot stocks, thanks to a massive demand in the past week, coming after a spate of wet-weather music festivals such as Woodford.

Georgina Perrins from Paddington Hardware said they sold out of gumboots two days ago.

Don't those usually go to your groin, hips or chest? - 0074b507, Jun 29, 2011
Yes waders are long ones. Knee high ones are usually wellies, short for wellington boots. - MaryMcc, Jun 29, 2011
