Mrs. vs. Miss

I am writing a formal letter to a woman and don't know if she is married or not. I don't want to offend her by addressing her wrong. I was going to write "Estimada Señora/ita" but don't know if this is right. Can a native please advise?

If it is a formal letter, then it is correct to write: "Estimada Sra. Pérez". In most formal business situations, nobody really cares whether a woman is married or not. And we don't have an equivalent to Ms. in Spanish, so there isn't much that anyone can do about it.

Señorita is used for more of a younger girl. (Like Miss)

Señora is used for Ms. and Mrs.
