One error: Por ser italiano, habla muy bien el francés. For being Italian, he speaks French well.

Saying "Para ser italiano" would mean "In order to be Italian..."

Estoy de acuerdo. "Por ser" = for being, "Para ser" = in order to be. - KevinB, May 17, 2010
I disagree. I believe it's "para" ser italiano. Also, notice that the two natives here didn't correct it. - --Mariana--, May 18, 2010
I stand corrected. Sorry! - tennismom, May 18, 2010

So it is para, for sure? - chicabonita23, May 17, 2010
Well Sylyon's profile says she is fluent in Spanish, so I would go with her answer, which is that you should use "por". I just don't understand why. - MeEncantanCarasSonrisas, May 17, 2010
por is used for "for" when it refers to a duration of time - 003487d6, May 17, 2010
Okay, thanks Dandi - MeEncantanCarasSonrisas, May 17, 2010
Yes, it is por. Para would not work here. You can use "para" for example if you say "Llovió para el rumbo del norte por tres horas". "It rained for three hours by the north side of town". I hope you can understand this example... - 00e46f15, May 18, 2010

I personally think it is all correct, except for this one:

Llovió___________ tres horas sin parar.

I think it is "para", not "por".
