"Por be citano" - any guesses?

Hey, folks.
I was just given some short letters in Spanish by another teacher: we are doing a pen-pal thing with my students, who are learning Spanish, and her students who are learning English. (Excellent activity! Actividad fabulosa!)

I can figure out "Yo stoy an 6 grado," and "Tu puedos aserlos" (You can do it!), but this one stumped me:

A dios a migos gracias por be citano.

What do you think?

P.S. It kills me that Spanish-speaking kids in my country aren't encouraged to be literate in their native language. I'm wondering whether to start a "Writing in Spanish" after school course. I gave my teacher friend this site, so her students can see how things are written, it's such a fantastic site for so many things. The exercises are so thorough; I love the writing part. Haaaard!

I think you all are correct! Although I don't think I'd respond "thanks for visiting" when someone wrote to me, more "thanks for writing." But here in the southern US people do say "visiting" for kind of chatting, so it's probably it!!!

Muchas gracias, y soy de acuerdo, a ser entendido bien son necesarios la orografía y penmanship!

Mucho gusto, JMarie

I think I got it jmarie

Adios amigos, gracias por visitarnos.

This is my best guess: thanks for visiting

I don't know if that might make sense.

And thanks for sending us the students. I really had a hard time imposing the matter of correct spelling on this site, it was awful at the beginning. And I am really glad this is appreciatedsmile
