I was unsure of how to translate "diera" I thought maybe something to with "give"

The sentence was:

Le diera mi seguro.

Uhm... le diera mi seguro might be a wrong and common way to mean "le daría". Ok, then...

  • Yo le daría mi... / I'd give him/her/it my...
  • Sí yo le diera mi... / If I gave him/he/it my...

Now... -seguro has many meanings: social security, safety pin, an insurance...

In the context insurance would be the right translation. Thanks for the help, I undertand the meaning now. - IsabelTenerife09, May 17, 2010

Le diera mi seguro.

diera = imperfect subjunctive of "dar" (to give) It can be either 1st or 3rd person singular

Possible translations include:

I/he/she/you (formal) gave him/her/you (formal) my insurance.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
