Gracias
I am going to give a report about native Peruvian music. I learned that they didn't use stringed instruments until after the Spanish arrived in South America, but these instruments are now fully integrated into the music and I was unable to find a video on youtube that that doesn't use stringed instruments, but still demonstrates the other instruments and the rhythms. Does anyone know of a group that still plays Andean music without stringed instruments? or a video? Thanks

Peruvian music is really cool, but I think you are going to have a hard time finding what you are looking for. I have heard a small amount of Latin American music and it uses a lot of stringed instruments. If I were you, I would give a progression of Native Peruvian music, going from no stringed instruments, to stringed instruments, and beyond. You could play a small clip for each time period if you could find a small clip of an early Peruvian instrument.
- cuerdo>cuerda

Yeah, that was the plan. I think I'm just going to skip the video clip for the first section and replace it with an explanation ![]()
