From our dictionary:

Spree [spri?] sustantivo

  • (familiar)

  • to go on a spree -> ir de juerga (go drinking)

  • to go on a shopping/spending spree -> salir a comprar/gastar a lo loco

A lo loco, now that I like. - Delores--Lindsey, May 17, 2010
Drinking spree 'sounds' nicer than drinking binge and certainly much prettier than 'hit the bottle' but I don't know that I have ever heard 'drinking spree'! - LateToDinner, May 22, 2010

I hope you are asking the English meanings. Spree makes the action larger. Going shopping is one thing. Going on a shopping spree may mean the entire day or weekend and tends to involve multiple stores. Killing spree may not mean masacre (matanza) but murdering people, usually in different locations.
